Here I Go! - Post 1

This is it, guys! The start of a brand-new journey! I'm so psyched! For those of you who don't know (which is probably none of you), I've been called to serve a full-time mission down in Iquitos,
Peru. I get set apart tonight (Monday the 8th) and leave for the airport early the next morning, headed for the Lima, Peru MTC to learn Missionary Work and Spanish for a good six weeks!

The Lima, Peru MTC looks like this!

After I spend six weeks down in the MTC, I'll be sent down to Iquitos (or another city within my boundaries). It's down in the edge of the rainforest and right next to the Amazon! Here are some more pictures so you guys can get a feel:

 I think...

So that's pretty much Iquitos for you! Some people have asked me what I think the hardest part of serving a mission down there would be and I replied either the language or the culture shock, but I know with the Lord's help, I can learn and adapt to both of those things as long as I try my best!

I'd like to thank everyone for helping me prepare for this moment throughout my entire life! I know that serving a mission is possibly the best thing I can do in my life and that Christ's church is the true church. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet and that Thomas S. Monson is one as well. I leave you with these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

See you all again in two years!
